 Dwarf rabbits, or dwarfies as we sometimes call them, make really good pets. Now I am 12 years old and the dwarf rabbits are my pets, my hobby and also my business. From the first time when I got my first dwarf rabbit in 2003 until today I enjoy them all the time. I like my business because it is fun. My mom and dad says the best business to have is one which is fun because then it will never feel like work. My grandpa called it a 'labour of love' which I think means the same thing. The babbits (that is what I call baby rabbits) are really cute. When I got my first rabbits and I started selling, my mom and dad then said I needed a goal. My goal at 4 years old was to go to 'Disney World'. Well it took me 7 years of breeding and selling to afford that trip and in 2011 I finally got to go. The first day at Disney Orlando was amazing. The next day was AWESOME! and then it just kept getting better from there. The next lesson my dad tells me is to have another goal. My mom, I think, says the same thing when she say's I must 'keep having dreams a size too big so that you can grow into your dreams'. I'm still thinking about my next goal but perhaps it will be another trip to see something new in the world. 
I have my mom, my dad and my brother who help me with the business. This internet shop I paid for myself so I am hoping it works out well. I also pay for the food, the cages and nesting material. Perhaps I write a book about being a 12 year old entrepreneur. The 12-Year old Owner |
